“Awareness Workshop” at Sandipani Muni School

On the 9th of July, Sandipani Muni school organized an “Awareness workshop” in the presence of members of the Child Welfare Committee of Mathura and Police Officials of  the Anti-Romeo Squad, UP.  The workshop was primarily organized for students of 2nd to 12th grade to educate and inform them about how to avoid becoming a victim of crime and to provide hands-on tips on self-protection.
The principal of SMS, Mr. Seemant Sharma welcomed our Chief guest Dr. Sarita Chaturvedi, member of CWC and Guest of honor, Mr. Manoj Kumar- Head of the Anti Romeo Squad. Dr. Sarita addressed the students about Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Good-touch and bad-touch. Mr. Manoj made the children aware about various Police helpline numbers for the protection of children, girls, and women, and the various means and the process to approach the police.
A question-answer session was also conducted wherein girls were freely asked to raise questions which were answered by the team.  We are grateful to the team as these kinds of workshops are vital to protect the girls from crimes like molestation, sexual harassment, violence and also encourage them to take the necessary actions if required.
