On 23rd January, to our delight, renowned journalist and TV anchor Aditi Tyagi visited FFLV. It was a great joy for our girls because they used to see her on TV and to see her live was a great experience for them. We took her for the project tour and was happy to see all the different ways in which we are helping the girls to become self-sufficient and empowered. She spoke to the girls and told them about the importance of being determined to achieve their goals in life. She is an inspiration to our girls and it was a pleasure to have her here with us at FFLV. We look forward to her next visit.
“I really appreciated volunteering at Food for Life Vrindavan for two weeks. Editing the German and the Swiss Website was a great pleasure for me and I do hope it will help to find new donors supporting the girls of Vrindavan and the work of FFLV. Everybody was really friendly and I loved to take part in the assembly together with the girls. I’m looking forward to come back some day and wish FFLV all the best”. – Bettina, Switzerland.
During the month of November, students at Santo António International School (SAIS), raised funds to help children at Sandipani Muni School. SAIS, an international, independent Catholic school located in Monte Estoril, Portugal teaches students to have respect for others, their culture, and their religion, and by doing so, prepares students to be responsible citizens of the world. It is with great pleasure to announce that students in Primary 4 and Primary 5 classes at SAIS participated in KidStory a reading program designed to encourage children to read, while also raising funds for Sandipani Muni School. We are delighted to announce that combined they read over 8,000 pages and raised 298€ to help children at SMS. These kids are heroes and we appreciate their efforts in helping the students of SMS.
