A Spiritual Retreat

A retreat lets our feelings open out. It can bring understanding of where we are in life too. All the great spiritual traditions are about discovering ourselves in ways that help us to grow in happiness and love. For many people a retreat will be an awakening to the presence of God in their lives. Going on a retreat means taking time away from your ordinary life and situation. It is a special time to give yourself some peace and calm. You might be stepping away from a hectic lifestyle full of being too busy.   In the last week of March, 10 girls from the school had a chance to take a break from the routine and go for a spiritual retreat at Govardhan. Making A Difference With Art

Dear Friends, It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to Annette Kelly, a remarkable artist from England, who is creating a series of paintings to fundraise for FFLV. The paintings are available for sale and 100% of the proceeds will go to FFLV.   Annette Kelly is an artist gaining a great reputation for her work and generosity. She has been working with our sister charity in London, Food for All. This charity, set up by Parasuram das, is currently serving 2000 nutritious meals to London’s needy. She began by raising money for Food for All by selling spiritually themed art and crafts before volunteering herself in the kitchen to help serve the homeless & needy in Central London. London Marathon – Jay Mehta

Dear Friends,   We are excited to share with you that Jay Keshav, a young, enthusiastic Cambridge University student from London is participating in the London Marathon to fundraise for Food for Life Vrindavan. This is a 42km run through Central London. Jay is a 25 years old Doctor from Cambridge University doing his second foundation year at Barnet hospital.   When we asked Jay why he wanted to this, this is what he said, “Food for life Vrindavan charity is very dear to my heart. This charity educates the poorest girls in Vrindavan India, and is providing them with the tools to transform their lives and communities around them. I would appreciate your support towards these girls who will gradually change the face of India.
