Alicante Government of Spain supports 5 girls

The Provincial Council of Alicante donated 15,000 euros towards the sponsorship of 5 girls’ University education. The deputy of Family and Citizenship, Mercedes Alonso received the international coordinator of the Indian NGO FFLV-Dharma Foundation, Rupa Raghunath Das. FFLV obtained help from the Provincial Council of Alicante of 15,000 euros to contribute to the education of girls in India. After the meeting, which was also attended by the President of the Board of the Dharma Foundation in Spain, Luis Pulido, the deputy explained that the grant, collected from the budgets of this year, will be allocated, specifically, to the provision of five scholarships for girls in Vrindavan. “The economic and social inequalities are very large in India, directly affecting women since birth”, said Alonso, who emphasized that education is essential and necessary to stop this dynamic of poverty and inequality with the girls, which is transmitted from generation to generation.

The 3 Peaks for 3 Girls Challenge!

Dr. Damian Hatton, the Managing Director of InFocus has been helping FFLV for the past two years in developing strategies and policies to support and sustain the anticipated growth of the charity and to benefit even more children across Vrindavan.   This time, Mr. Hatton is going a step ahead with his 3 peaks for 3 girls team. He, along with his three friends, will take on the Three Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) – the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales. The challenge is to climb each of these three peaks – one after the other- in under 24 hours! Empowered Girls Empower Girls

Meet Anuradha : a jovial personality with a sense of active social responsibility.  She graduated from Sandipani Muni School almost three years ago now and nearly ready to graduate from College. She is now employed and is working part time as a teacher at the FFLV school project. Anuradha is the same girl who revolted against her father trying to marry her young.
