On the 9th of September, we were honored to have JCI Royal Mathura, a group of young leaders and entrepreneurs promoting personal development and social service skills, affiliated to a worldwide federation called Junior Chamber International (JCI). The group came to host a TALENT HUNT PROGRAM at Sandipani Muni School, FFLV in order to celebrate Jaycee (a member of a Junior Chamber of Commerce) week. The students of SMS amazed the audience by their magnificent performances in a variety of styles such as Classical dance, Martial Arts performance, Odissi (folk) dance and Yoga shows. JCI Royal Mathura group rewarded the best 3 students from each performance by giving them a prize. The group also expressed their wish to allow our students to showcase their talent at the national and international level by participating in future events.
Apart from conducting standard curriculum classes, FFLV organizes extra-curricular activities such as yoga, martial arts, painting, dance, sewing, and embroidery. Specialized expert teachers help students to explore and enhance their natural talent and build skills in their areas of interest. Yoga performances (a combination of yoga postures and dance) are enacted by our students on various occasions such as stage events and competitions. We are glad to share that on the 22nd of August, 5 students have been awarded certificates as a token of appreciation for their exemplary performance due to their dedicated practice in yoga at school. Thanks to our Yoga teacher, Ladali Lal Devi Dasi for her dedication towards training the students.
The 5th of September in India commemorates Teachers’ Day (globally celebrated on the 5th October) which marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – a philosopher, scholar, teacher, and politician who dedicated his life mission towards education. This day is celebrated to acknowledge the efforts of teachers as well as honor and thank them for playing a crucial role in the development of students to turn them into responsible human beings. Students of SMIC organized different activities such as singing, dance, drama, games, poem recitation and also offered gifts to express their gratitude towards their teachers who simultaneously responded with appreciation towards the thoughtfulness of their pupils.
