Legal Rights Awareness Training

On 2nd September, 2017, Food for Life Vrindavan organised a seminar for their school girls where they were educated about the importance of education about law and how they can approach the legal authorities if they face or know of any girl going through any kind of abuse. On this occasion, Ms. Pratibha Sharma, member of the Mediation Court and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Yadav, ACJM of District Court of Mathura were present who further educated the girls how they could approach them in case of any incident pertaining to any physical or mental abuse. A play was also performed by the school girls exhibiting the evil practice of Child Marriage. The performance was highly appreciated by the honorary court members. The seminar was very informative and well organised.

  Muskan is the youngest of seven sisters in a family that has seen more than its share of struggles. Jayati, the oldest sister, left school in 6th grade, and the parents and other five sisters have never had an opportunity to be educated at all. The father works in construction and the mother as a house cleaner, and the father’s abuse of alcohol has led him to mistreat and neglect his wife and children. Muskan and her oldest sister Jayati are living an hour away from the rest of their family in a rented room so Muskan has a chance to complete her education and break her family’s cycle of poverty for good. Nayati Healthcare Foundation joins hands with FFLV

On 19th August, 2017, Food for Life Vrindavan organised a seminar for the teachers of Sandipani Muni School, which was conducted by Nayati Healthcare Foundation. The seminar was conducted to create awareness about the learning disabilities children occasionally face. The foundation educated the teachers on how to identify and detect the serious mental issues a child could encounter. Doctors from Nayati Healthcare foundation said, “Mental health disorders can affect classroom learning and social interactions, both of which are critical to the success of the students”.
