Dear Friends, as you already know that apart from providing other types of vocational training to our girls at Food for Life Vrindavan, we also provide sewing and embroidery training not only to our school girls but also to the local women of Vrindavan so that they may help themselves and work independently. We are pleased to share with you that new designs directly from our sewing and embroidery training centre are ready. We have cushion covers, hand bags and a few items in “Yoga Line” like Yoga mat bags and yoga bag straps. So, if you are in Vrindavan, make sure you don’t miss out on these hand made designs by the girls of FFLV Schools.
Scientists are discovering that meditation can significantly improve a person’s physical and mental health. In seeking a more permanent and satisfactory solution to the physical and mental problems, many people (including doctors and psychologists) have now turned towards meditation and have got impressive results. On the occasion of World Holy Name week from 9th to 17th September, 2017, International Society of Krishna Consciousness conducted a three day seminar, emphasizing on the importance of meditation and its positive impact on the academic performance of the children. A total of 197 girls from grade 6th, 7th and 8th from Sandipani Muni School attended the seminar and learned how important it is to meditate and that they can academically improve their performance through meditation. The girls have already started practicing what they learnt and are experiencing a gradual change in themselves and in their studies.
