On 11th September, 2018, Dr. Priya Virmani, Founder and Director of Paint our World, visited Food for Life Vrindavan. She conducted an amazing, one-hour session with 50 girls from 9th till 12th grade. Dr. Virmani explained them about the importance of- “Self-Love”. She explained them how Self Love can actually help them keep their own attitude, their own personal space and sometimes help them know more about themselves. She also discussed about various characters from Vedic Literatures- Ramayana and Mahabharata with our girls, and explained them how sometimes, people can act in a different manner depending on their circumstances and that they should move ahead in their lives by respecting themselves, caring for themselves and loving themselves despite of the fact that every human being has some flaws in them. On 15th August, 2018, Sandipani Muni school, FFLV celebrated India’s 72nd Independence Day with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. The celebration was graced by the Founder of FFLV Schools, Rupa Raghunath Das. The programme began with the unfurling of the Indian tricolor by the principals of the school, followed by a prayer service and a cultural program which included patriotic dances, drama, speeches, poetry, songs. For Vrindavan, the trees provide more than just environmental benefits. They provide food and clean water. They are immensely important for the villagers, from the youngest school child to the most elderly. We see this particularly at schools, where both teachers and school children are benefiting from planting trees. Counting with the tradition of preserving environment and having Eco-friendly activities, trees were planted by FFLV on 24th August in it’s school premises. Uttar Pradesh Control Board, Mathura District, donated 500 saplings to FFLV out of which 5 trees were planted in Sandipani Muni School and the remaining 495 trees will be planted in Vrindavan and it’s neighboring villages.
