In the month of October, we had the pleasure of visit from Mr. Steve Rixon, an incredible ex- Cricket coach from Australia. During his stay in Vrindavan, he spent most of his time at FFLV. He was delighted to see our projects. We organized a special cultural program for him which he liked very much, and shared his experience with us.
“ I enjoyed the hospitality of the occasion. My first observation of Food for Life Vrindavan is very very good. Whatever performances I saw today including the yoga, gymnastics, dance and playing of the instruments by these young girls was unbelievably good. This wouldn’t have happened without a lot of people. The opportunity to become a dancer, or anything like this, specially coming from a rural background, is a big achievement. This project as I understand, allows the girls many things which are very important. The girls are being educated, they are given medical assistance, these girls become a major part of the society when they finish school. Most importantly, they will have a secure future when they finish their 12th grade. This is very important for these girls and the society as a whole. I wish this project a success for the future. Thanks to Rupa Raghunath and Ineke Zondag for inviting me to this school. Keep Smiling and God Bless! ”
All the people who met Mr. Rixon during his visit felt really honored and also excited by his presence. It was a great experience for all of us to have met this legend of cricket in person. We hope that he visits us again in the future. We thank him for his support.
