Since the coronavirus outbreak and lockdown in India, the sources of income for the daily wage workers have been interrupted, affecting their basic living in a major way. FFLV has come up with an initiative to support families with extreme financial difficulties during this crisis. We have been able to distribute more than 5500 rations in 3 phases to over 2000 families. Among 2,000 families, recipients of this wonderful support system are the numerous families of our 1,500 Sandipani Muni Schoolgirls, families living below the poverty line in slums, and hundreds of daily workers, widows, and sadhus. Many more are still on our waiting list…

We would like to express our gratitude for all the generous donations towards food rations during these hard times. Some lockdown restrictions have been lifted by the government but still, many businesses are struggling and only very few day workers get work opportunities.

As parents of our students are day workers, most of them are going through extreme financial challenges. For many families, our food ration distribution program is the only way to survive during Covid 19.

We are committed to keeping helping our students as long as we can and preparing a new round of food distributions. We cannot do this without your continuous support. Help us feed a family for a month for $25!
